I do not even know where to begin with these two. Ryan and Kayla it was such an honor celebrating your vow renewal with you and all of your loved ones. I feel like there is just something extra special about a vow renewal :)

As someone who is obviously a huge fan of love and celebrating it, when Kayla contacted me for their special occasion I was thrilled and I couldn't wait to see her again. We previously met at the Vigil wedding last September.

Coming together for a vow renewal is something so special to your couple, as they are taking a brief moment to publicly celebrate their time together after their wedding day! Vow renewals are an opportunity to reaffirm your commitment to one another - it is a day to come together to appreciate you and your partner and all you have been through over the course of your marriage.

As humans, we all evolve and change throughout time. Especially as a couple, you are going to go through many different life experiences that will continuously challenge you and help you grow. For Ryan and Kayla, they were coming together with their three beautiful daughters and all of their family and friends who have helped them through their first 10 years of marriage.

A decade. What a huge milestone in their marriage. Spending 10 years together with the person you love and building your life together. And let me tell you… 10 years looks amazing on these two!

Ryan and Kayla decided to bring their loved ones back where their life together began at The Elms Hotel and Spa in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. 10 years ago in July of 2013 they came together and made a public commitment at the gazebo, one of the many ceremony location sites at the Elms. They remembered that day like it was yesterday.

I can only image how special it was for them to come back to their wedding day spot and soak everything in again but from a completely different perspective. They are now able to look back at that spot with 10 years of experience behind them. 10 years of getting to spend the best and the worst times together growing as a couple and learning how to be the best parents they can be for there little family.

We started the day off by capturing some moments of Kayla and her bridal party getting ready in the hotel room. Kayla and the girls looked stunning! After that, I spent some time outside with Ryan snapping some portraits right outside on the pathway to the gazebo before his first look with Kayla on the staircase in the main foyer. Ryan could not wait to get inside to see his stunning wife. His love for her radiates.

The first look was so precious as their girls and a few family members gathered to watch. We were able to take some time around the hotel before the ceremony began to get bridal party portraits and snap a few family pictures as well. By that time, the girls were ready for the ceremony and could not wait to hold in their excitement!

The ceremony was beautiful - intimate, meaningful, and full of love. They decided to unite by having a sand ceremony included followed by an acoustic guitar performance.

I had a great day with Ryan and Kayla and I hope you enjoy viewing their images.
