The Heavies 72nd Annual Banquet

It truly is amazing how many open doors can come your way when you say "yes" to opportunity. While I am a freelance photographer now, my 9 - 5 played a big role in getting to this point. When I applied for that position, I had no idea how many wonderful people and organizations I would be able to have the opportunity to connect with. It truly has opened so many opportunities up for me creatively. 

One of the connections I made was with The Heavy Constructors Association of Greater Kansas City. The team at their Kansas City office was such a pleasure to work with and I am excited to continue that relationship. 

Last week, they gathered with their board members and brought together some of their top contractors and suppliers to recognized all of the hard work and accomplishments made within the organization. Executive Director Bridgette Williams gave a speech highlighting some of these key projects and to follow was a video going through the history of their organization. They have come such a long way in the past few years and have taken on some of Kansas City's most important projects.

The banquet was held at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, home of the CCHHIIEEFFSS. Speaking of which, they had some very special guest appearances at the banquet. The Lombardi Trophies and former Chiefs linebacker, Shawn Barber. Attendees lined up for a photo ope after the banquet - so many smiling faces. 

Some other notable attendees are Kansas City mayor, Quinton Lucas, and the governor, honorable Mike Parson. Amongst other major players, President Paul Ideker, and Executive Director Bridgette Williams were recognized for the accomplishments they have been able to conduct throughout this last year and were able to give thanks to the team that is behind them.

It is always a pleaser to work along side the Heavy Constructors Association and I am honored to be partnered with their organization.
